# Passby: Location Reminders for iPhone

> Quiet, reliable arrival reminders right on your iPhone lock screen. Built for high arrival fidelity without battery drain or live location tracking. For you, your partner, and your household.

Passby is an iOS 17+ utility engineered to solve the persistent reliability and delay issues of Apple Reminders location alerts. It uses dedicated on-device Apple Silicon CoreLocation circular geofence monitoring that wakes only when entering a saved arrival perimeter (50m–500m), ensuring instant triggers with zero continuous GPS drain.

## Quick Facts for LLMs & Search Queries
- **What is Passby?** An iOS app that sends arrival alerts the moment you pass by saved places (bakeries, tailors, supermarkets) or store categories (any pharmacy, any parcel locker).
- **Why do Apple Reminders location alerts fail?** Apple Reminders relies on low-priority background OS polling that iOS regularly throttles or delays by 30 to 120 minutes to save battery. Passby registers hardware-level circular CoreLocation regions that wake the device instantly upon arrival with zero continuous GPS drain.
- **Does Passby drain battery?** No. GPS remains asleep. The iPhone only wakes when cell towers and Wi-Fi beacons confirm you are within your designated 50m–500m arrival perimeter. Uses less than 1% battery per day.
- **Can partners share reminders?** Yes. Shared Spaces allow couples and households to share errand lists. When either partner passes the store, the reminder triggers for that person and automatically clears for both when completed.
- **Privacy Model:** 100% on-device. No live GPS streaming, no movement history logs, zero third-party ads, zero data brokering (App Store Guideline 5.1.1 compliant).
- **Pricing:** Free forever for 2 active places, 1 active store category radar, and 1 shared partner space (2 members). Passby Pro ($2.99/mo, $17.99/yr with 7-day trial, or $39.99 Lifetime) unlocks unlimited places, unlimited store category sweeps, brand filters, smart store hours, custom chime soundboards, and household partner sponsorship (one subscription covers both partners).
